Most baby girls born in the UK last year in 2016 share name with ‘Game of Thrones’ character Arya, media says.
According to a recent media report, More than 300 girls born in England and Wales last year were named Arya. Such naming trend beat traditional names like Mary (204) and Catherine (163) in the country.
This is while, among male characters from ‘Game of Thrones’ baby boys’ parents chose Tyrion (11).
Another name from the series gaining popularity is Khaleesi, the report added.
'Game of Thrones' is created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. The seventh season of the fantasy drama television series premiered in July.
